Multi-Level Photo Compositing

Using the tools and processes contained within Photoshop CS6, create a composite photograph by combining parts of three or more photographs into one final photographic composition. This composition should evolve from a conceptual basis and should allow for thoughtful insight into the relationships of the combined imagery. Consider such compositional aspects as superimposition, juxtaposition, repetition, and scale to create overall interest and impact within the composition. You must include at least one superimposed image that has been cut from paths from one of the selected photographs. Photography sources can include personal photographs, web photographs from morguefile.com, or any combination of the two. Start your assignment by collecting a series of photographs that you feel offer interesting combinational opportunities. Based on these selections, create 2 separate conceptual approaches to share with your instructor. These should be written and could include sketches and photos. They will be handed in. After consultation, select one approach and create the final multi-level photo composition in Photoshop CS6.

Finished Format

Print out the final photo composite in color on good quality paper. Trim the image into a verticle or horizontal composition. Mount the image onto white illustration board, utilizing appropriate border spacing. Protect the board with black flapping paper. You will also upload your final photoshop file with layers properly labeled. Your file should be 7.5" x 10" @ 300ppi resolution.
